what's going on ("we", "us") helps you find and share local events. This policy covers the website at wgo.fyi and the what's going on iOS and Android apps. We collect as little as we can, and we don't sell your data.

What we collect

• Your phone number, if you log in, to send a one-time verification code and identify your account.
• Content you add — events you create or save, RSVP names, and any images, text, or links you submit so we can pull out event details.
• Approximate location to show events near you. Precise location is not required.
• Basic technical data — a random device identifier, app version, and IP address — to operate and secure the Service. The website uses a session cookie only; no advertising or cross-site tracking.

How we use it

To show local events and let you create, save, and RSVP to them; to log you in; to extract event details from what you submit; to show weather for an event; and to run, secure, and improve the Service. Events you publish (and RSVP names) are visible to other users.

Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run the Service for us — phone verification, weather, AI event extraction, and cloud hosting — and where required by law.

Your choices

You can use much of the Service without an account, and you control location and calendar permissions in your device settings. To delete your account and data, email us.
